What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).
Can I purchase from Butterflies if I don't have a credit card?
Yes. Email us at orders@butterflies.co.nz with details of what you’d like to purchase and your delivery address.
We’ll put together an invoice for you. If you’ve already gathered those items in your shopping basket, let us know. We’ll take your shopping list from there and get things underway.
Do I need an account to purchase products?
No, you can check out as a guest. However, creating an account allows you to save your details for faster checkout and view your order history.
What currency are your prices in?
All prices on our website are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
Do you have a physical store?
We are an online-only store.
Shipping & delivery
How can I track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number and a link to the courier's website.
How long will my order take to arrive?
We aim to process and dispatch orders within 1-2 business days. Delivery within
New Zealand typically takes 2-5 business days from the time of dispatch. Please
note that rural deliveries may take longer.

Yes, we ship to Australia. For a shipment further afield, please get in touch. We’d be happy to make that happen.

What age group are Butterflies resources designed for?
Butterflies’ resources are designed for children at the beginning of their literacy journey.
Typically, you’ll find them in new entrant and junior classrooms. They are also frequently used with children in their final year of pre-school or early childhood education and by parents looking to support classroom learning at home.
How do the resources support literacy and numeracy programmes?
The alphabet cards and early numeracy resources are designed to help children develop foundational skills like letter / number recognition and independent production or replication of these.
Are Butterflies resources aligned with structured literacy approaches?
Yes. Structured literacy is an explicit and systematic method of teaching literacy. Our
resources are excellent both as desktop and classroom tools to compliment structured literacy instruction.
Can these tools be used for homeschooling?
Wherever a child is starting their literacy journey, there is a place for Butterflies cards, packs, friezes and tools for young learners.
